St Mary’s University (SMU), founded in 1850 is the oldest Roman Catholic university in the UK, located in Strawberry Hill, Twickenham, South West London.

The Times University Guide2022

According to the 2022 edition of the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide, St Mary’s University Twickenham has climbed 19 places to sit in its highest-ever ranking of 67th in the league table.

The recent edition also marks the first time the higher education institution finishes in the top half of the national ranking. The University came 12th in London and ranked second for teaching quality and student experience.

The Good University Guide 2022

The rankings by the Good University Guide came after excellent feedback from students in the 2021 National Student Survey (NSS). The annual survey carried out by final year students showed that students at the University rated St Mary’s second in London and 18th nationally for overall student satisfaction which is 6.3% ahead of the sector average. SMU also had a high graduate employment rates while also ranking in the top 15 for teaching excellence in the UK.
